Youth Camp 2012

Well we spent Monday thru Saturday of last week at Youth Camp. It's our own church camp, so our church does all of the hosting etc. I am finally feeling like a human again :)
We started with church on Tuesday night.
Everyday I had to be at the fellowship hall at 7:30 and we served breakfast at 9. Bacon, eggs, homemade biscuits, gravy, choc and pb gravy, pancakes and syrup! After breakfast the younger children went to Children's Church and we had a 10:30 service. After morning service was Choir Practice and then lunch. After lunch was Fun Hour and then Sports until 5 which was time to get ready for the 7:30 service.
Shew makes me tired thinking of it!! :)

Here are a few highlights from the week....
Lunch line
Fun Time is an hour or so of ridiculously gross and funny games etc. Picture #1 Kaleb was in a pool of cereal, milk and water trying to find a marble. Picture #2 The volunteers had to find Jesus Loves Me out of a bowl of SpaghettiO's YUCK! Picture#3 Isaac and Kari were in a skit (love all the hair she has gotten)! Picture #4 and 5 Parable skits.
 Isaiah playing softball
 Um....who's kid is that? :)
 Horse riding on Friday

Children's Church
Illustrative message "When Hell Froze Over"....he talked about how people start sinning etc when hell freezes over to them....doesn't seem so hot anymore....

Friday night Awards Ceremony

I guess this gives a glimpse to all of the weeks activities. There were tons more but it would take up about 5 posts :)

Hope you enjoy!

Summer Part 4

We are still enjoying the days of Summer around here....new flowers and the last of mine unless I add some mums...
Blackeyed Susans
Garden Phlox
Daylily (and the last of them)

Something that you might not know about the Blackeyed Susan is that they will transplant. In the Spring when mine come back up I have all kinds of little ones. So, I dig those and plant them somewhere else or I share them with friends. The Garden Phlox can be transplanted as well. Blackeyed Susans and Garden Phlox are also drought hardy.

Another happening around the yard was a huge litter of puppies...like 9! So they are under the building behind the house and we can't really get to them but one came out the other day....
I got this picture with my cell phone :) and then I saw it another day close enough to grab and the boys were in the pool, so I handed it to Isaiah....I love this picture!!
Anybody that doesn't talk to me often been wondering about Isaac? Well there he is on the big trailer of mulch. He is doing fine! When we took him for his follow up appt the Dr. came in and said  "well, he kinda just healed himself ...we didn't do a thing for him!" But we know the Great Physician!! He is still on restriction (thus the reason he is sitting on the mulch watching the work) but doing very well!

I still have to update on mine and James's anniversary......

Also, just about everyone I talk to says that they follow my blog, but I hardly ever have comments and I only have 15 followers :) Just a hint!

More pictures of puppies when I can grab one (FREE TO A GOOD HOME)!

Happy 4th of July

Did I mention that I love red, white and blue?

I love America the land of the free and home of the brave! We still are you know? Don't forget what this great country was founded on! GOD, the  BIBLE, FAMILY and good ole fashioned principles that we can still hold on to in this crazy world! I hope you are celebrating!

We baked some sugar cookies before attending a local 4th Celebration and the boys decorated them.....
Red white and blue of course :) I made a special patriotic treat....I was searching for 4th of July recipes so I found and made these....
Yummy! Strawberries dipped in white chocolate with blue sprinkles! LOVE IT!

I hope you are enjoying your day! Do a little something patriotic :)
