Blossoms Boys Room and Bananas

Blossoms is my first B of the day.....Irises and Clematis Vines are blooming in my yard.
I have yellow, lilac, burgundy and orange irises and two white clematis vines in full bloom right now. I am also including a pic of my creeping phlox, but of course their blooms have died out now.

This is the before picture of future blossoms beside of the pool. James got me a Red Crepe Myrtle, Pink Knockout Rose, Purple Rhododendron and a few more....plus we have to add some things that stay green all year!
My second B is Boys Room. We are 99% done in there. Trim is hung!! It is all looking so nice!

The toys are so organized too! I am so tickled with the results in there!!

The last B is Bananas :) Peanut Butter Jelly and Banana Roll Ups. Yes, I know you thought that something was driving me bananas LOL! These are a little snack that is easy and nutritious.

These ingredients are something I usually have on hand. Flour tortillas (Mission brand is my favorite) Peanut Butter, Smuckers Strawberry Preserves or you can use what ever kind you have and a Banana. Spread the peanut butter over tortilla then the jelly or preserves. Make sure that you spread peanut butter all the way to the edge of tortilla to assure that it sticks together good when you roll it up. Place banana on one side and roll to the other then cut into pinwheels with a sharp knife!
I wish for my pictures to be prettier but I made these while camping and in a big hurry! The finished project is usually a lot prettier :)
I mean who doesn't like PBJ&B :) Enjoy!

Celebrating My Birthday

Today I'm 34!! We celebrated my birthday over the weekend. James and the boys treated me to Sonny's BBQ and we spent some family time together just us! We had some good laughs! I love those guys in this picture :)
James took us and showed us where he used to camp like for real camp when he was a boy. You know tents, potted meat (YUCK), outdoor restroom etc. He was surprised to see the Black Bear siting signs*CHILLS* Thus where the good laughs came from!
We had a good time! Although the whole idea of for real camping gives me the CREEPS! I might agree to one night....after all I have been 4 Wheeling now!
My birthday present? James bought me some flowers for our new landscape project by the pool. They are beautiful! Completed project pictures in the future.....

Today Is My Birthday Happy Happy Birthday! :)

Spring Break Adventures

Spring Break was a blast! We had so much exploring to do! We camped, celebrated Easter, went dirt bike riding (yep I went again) and much more!! I wanted to share some of our exploring.....
             Camping
Here we are having breakfast with some of our camping friends! There's just something about camping and eating!! One of our favorite camping meals is "Chicken Philly's".
Cook and chop up the chicken on the griddle, season with Lawry's Season Salt, smother in provolone cheese, grill onions, and serve on toasted hoagies. ( I toast them on the griddle as well) YUM!

Riding

There were two rides during Spring Break. One that I went on and the other I didn't. Here they are all lined up and waiting to go.
Ellie and I have to stick together because we are the only gals on the ride!! This ride was fun...with hills, mud and all the above!

Yep MUD!! I am in the picture in the background cheering them on!

Taking a break on the trail.....
Ride # 2

This is the ride that Ellie and I stuck together on and didn't go. Both Papaw's went!! We explored around my uncle's cabin for a bit......

The cabin sits in a perfect spot at the end of a little holler. It has a creek that runs right down the middle!! Perfect! So, after some exploring the guys went riding and the gals went for some Mexican food and a little shopping (smile)!!

Still loving Spring!

Easter

What a wonderful Easter weekend! We spent it camping, dying and hunting eggs, spending time with friends and family and Resurrection Services on Sunday!

We had a Sunrise Service at the church fellowship hall on Sunday morning at 6 and when the sun came up it was breathtaking! We served bacon, fried bologna, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. After breakfast the children hunted eggs!

We were finished with all of our festivities and napping by 10:30 A.M.
Look at the joy on his face! He and Micah both had their buckets full!
We had so much fun watching them hunt the eggs! We decided that next year the adults should have one! LOL!

On Saturday the boys dyed eggs with my mom at our campsite! They dyed some, then mom , me and two or three other children who stopped in to take a peek! We also filled plastic eggs. Our children and some friends hunted eggs on Saturday afternoon. Everyone got candy eggs and money eggs etc. I always loved it when I was a child and I am encouraging my children to enjoy it as long as they can!
Even the BIG kids had fun!!!

Riding and Remodeling

We are loving Spring! Spending a lot of time outdoors and some cleaning and fixing indoors! A lot of riding has been going on too! This time "I" went riding!! For those of you who know me I am sure you are laughing. but I have pictures to prove it!
James and I took Isaiah and Isaac while Micah went to the golf range with my parents. James's brother brought his two children along and we had a blast!! On our way up the trail the weather was nice and just right....on our way back it rained so hard that I could hardly open my eyes! At one point we were just killing ourselves laughing! James drowned his brother and I on purpose...I think I had mud in my ears LOL!

I am a firm believer that outside is where children need to be raised! The fresh air, the adventure, the sheer good old fashioned fun etc. Fun is what we had too!! James went ahead of us at one point and saw eight deer and the children and I found a cool water spot!
We just had so much fun! Everyone played safe and smart and the evening was spent well!! When my head hit the pillow I was exhausted.

Remodeling is next on my list of things to talk about. We have been giving Micah and Isaacs' s room a face lift! Two children, bunk beds, a full set of drums and 1 million toys atleast LOL! So, we removed everything except the bunk beds from the room, mudded the walls, painted, etc. James built an organizer for their room and it is BEAUTIFUL! Thanks Honey! A friend of ours says it looks like a Pottey Barn piece!! Throughout the complete remodeling of our house we had already installed a new window in their room and new carpet.
The before picture.....trim gone, walls mudded and almost all toys removed! We went with Almond Biscotti for the room color. It is from Lowe's. A darker neutral that matches up the cabin theme for their room. Eventually they will want to change the theme and the color should be versatile.
The shelf will be mostly filled with organizing cubes like the one seen here and possibly some books and a few larger toys! I am sleeping better already (smile!) Trim is painted and waiting to be cut and hung!!!
