Micah's 7th Birthday

On the 19th Micah turned 7 :) He went to school of course and I sent treat bags for him and his class. While he was at school a package came in the mail for him!
He asked for a RC Helicopter, so when he got home it was waiting for him! Those little things are really neat!
We had a home cooked meal and chocolate chip cookies with ice cream and hot fudge for dessert.

Nonie and Papaw came over to celebrate with us! We sang Happy Birthday and he must have thought our singing was bad! Silly boy!! We had special services at church last week, so after supper we went to church.
And there is the handsome Birthday Boy!!

I am busy taking care of him while he heals from having a tonsillectomy. I will blog all of that soon!

Micah's 7th Birthday Party

On Saturday we celebrated Micah's 7th Birthday! I enjoyed the planning part of it so much! For one thing Micah gets so excited and just really enjoys it all. The party theme was Hotwheels!

I printed out Micah's name and the hotwheels logo on card stock. I strung ribbon thru it and hung it above the cake and present tables.
 The Birthday Boy!
We had at least 65 in attendance. Lots of food too! Here is the menu: Combination Chicken Tray from Wal-Mart, Pizza, Buffalo Chicken Dip with Tortilla Chips, Sausage Balls, Spinach Dip and Bread, Pasta Salad, 3 different kinds of chips, Chip Dip, Carrots, Cake, Ice Cream, Cookies, Chocolate Dipped Strawberries etc. YUMMY!
A few years ago I thought I would down size my parties and just have the grand parents and in laws, my brother and maybe just a couple of friends...then I started thinking about the wonderful gatherings that we have! My mom and her brothers and sisters all eating, laughing and talking! James's aunts and uncles all having such a good time. Cousins getting together. Friends staying and playing as long as they want! Why would I down size? I love to plan it and feed them and I think that they all enjoy it!
Micah with his 2nd cousins Jacob and Greyson.
I am soo loving how the cake turned out! Thanks Heather! We had the little flag and car cookies too. Thanks Kelly :) (we spent hours at my house on Friday getting those done)

I love the next picture..when it was time for Micah to blow out the candles like 50 people were looking at him..
He sunk way down in his chair and I said "Micah do you feel like everyone is looking at you?" and he said  "uh -huh" :) Cute!
 Happy Birthday little buddy!

Next was presents!
This was a cute idea and everyone clapped when Micah opened it and giggled. A tissue box with ten 1 dollar bills taped around a toilet paper roll..when he opened the package it read "Micah, here is your Birthday gift. Don't "Blow" it all in one place :) So, he first pulls a tissue from the box and then the money comes out! TOO CUTE! Thanks Ealy family!
He was so tickled with his hot wheels!
 ...and Fox clothes etc.
We stayed late and everyone played!
There was basketball, bikes, power wings, jump rope etc.

What a wonderful evening of Birthday fun!

Micah's actual Birthday is Tuesday, so I will post about that soon!

Valentine's Day 2013

We had some fun over the last week enjoying Valentine's Day! It all started in Sunday School. James and I teach the 8-10 yr. olds. We had an all out celebration with lots of junk food, cards and fun!
We asked each child to decorate a small box with a lid for all of their cards and goodies. It all took me back to grade school :) We had so much fun!
Here is a glimpse of the goodies. I took some chips to add a little saltiness to all of the sweet. We bought each one a Valentine canister of Skittles! I printed up little personalized tags for each one!

I sent treat bags to Micah's class and brownies for Isaiah's.

The next celebration was a Valentine Field Trip to a little pottery shop here in town. This was for Micah's class at school.
Each child got to paint a heart plate. Micah's looks pink and baby blue, but after it is fired it will hopefully be red and royal blue! It was lots of fun and each child done such a great job!
Here is a picture of all of the children who participated! I will try to remember to post a picture of the finished product :)

School festivities consisted of parties and pizza etc.

I made some chocolate dipped strawberries several different times thru the week. We all think they are just yummy!
How did i do?

Valentine's Day consisted of Italian for supper right here at home. My favorite Candleberry candle from James and some gift cards and chocolate for the boys...oh and socks :) they were all desperate!!
Did I mention that I love celebrating? :)

I hope everyone was treated special for Valentine's Day!!

I am working on Micah's Birthday party post! We had a blast!!

Birthday Party 4

I have been enjoying the birthday blogs! This may be my last post until after Micah's birthday..so I will have a brand new party to tell about!!
I am beginning this post with Isaiah's 12th birthday. We had it in the University of  Kentucky Wildcat colors. It was at the same church facility as several of the previous ones.
I loved the colors! So crisp I think. Lots of food as usual! He was turning twelve, so I kept the decor very mature :)
He got a new bicycle from us! Gotta have good bikes for camping!!
Then some Mexican with free fried ice cream on his big day! I feel very blessed to have these healthy boys! God is so good!

Next is Isaac's 9th Birthday! We camped at our local campground for this one and Cowboys was the theme!

I loved this party! I used brown paper bags and stenciled cowboy shapes on them and then tied brown string on them for the children. I found cowboy gift bags at my favorite dollar shop and used cowboy hats from the toy basket for the tables. My infamous tin buckets were scattered here and there.
 Isaac and his friend Trevor!
A tin bucket with peanuts and I tied a bandana around it! A cowboy hat with a bandana inside for the chips! No table cloths on the picnic tables for a rugged/barn look. I was so loving this party!

There is Miss Patches. Isn't she a cutie? She went missing on us last Summer :(
On his actual birthday we went Disc Golfing and out to eat at Culver's where the kids meals get free ice cream! I love Birthdays can you tell?

And last for this post is Micah's 6th Birthday! We had this party at our local inflatable place and the theme was Dinosaurs..

There's the cakes and cupcakes! I found all kinds of cute decor for this party! Heather done such a good job on the cakes. Notice the little sign on the cake table? "Sweetivore" the candy eating dinosaur :)
Table Decor.
We had a large crowd, lots of food and fun! I love party guests!
Micah blowing out his candles with his brothers and friends! Hiding in the ball pit :)
On Micah's Birthday we went to Sunday School and out for Mexican..can you say FREE FRIED ICE CREAM!
While we ate we watched a heavy snow blow in! WHAT FUN!  When we came home everything was covered in snow and since the evening service was cancelled we headed out to play!
I hope that you have enjoyed this post! I love celebrating!!
I will be sharing some girlie ideas soon. I hope you have  plans with your Valentine this week! Have a Happy Valentine's Day!
